Photoshoot 5/4/2013

Wow, I actually neglected my blog for one whole week. Seriously???
This whole week I've been feeling pretty low and tired all the time, I blame the stupid weather. I always feel lethargic when the weather is like cloudy, gloomy and cold. :( I HATE COLD WEATHER.

Anyway I've decided to blog about my photoshoot last time with my babes, Xing Xing and Ai Ai on 5th of April, a day after Xing Xing's birthday!

Speaking of which, I still haven't have time to edit the birthday party pictures, so yeah, going to update about that pretty soon. :) Stay tuned. :) It was a really fun birthday! :)

Back to the photoshoot, we had been planning for it since a month ago, it's just really fun to go to photoshoot with friends because we all get to dress up and get nice pictures. And the best thing is checking out each other when it's my/her turns to take pictures and making hooting sounds when any of us strikes some hot poses. LOL.

We were pretty disappointed with the photo studio this time though. IT SUCKS BIG TIME.
When we ordered the photoshoot package online, the pictures looked nice and the photo studio looked spacious and professional. However when we got there, it wasn't like what we had expected. That was still okay, until we talked to the workers there.

One of the girls there, most possibly the person in charge, was like really bossy and she said fake lashes were not included in the package, and each pair we needed to pay RMB 20. We were like, "Wth? Usually it SHOULD be included in the package already!"

She just said that was how their studio worked, we were already feeling cheated and pissed off already. Then we asked them whether we can take some sister shots at the end of the photoshoot? They were like, "Oh yeah, you have to give us RMB 50 extra."

WOW, what????? All the photo studios that we had went before never charge us any money for that! Again, she gave us the pretext of "every studio functions differently". We were trying to be understanding so we gave in and said, we would all give up one look and take sister shots for the last one. You see, each person gets to choose 4 looks. So we were going to have only 3 looks for each person and one of the looks we'll use it for group pictures. It pretty much save a lot of energy and time for the photographers and make-up artists.

Guess what she said?

She said, "Oh I'm sorry you still have to pay 50 yuan, it's our policy." That was the last straw, because that was just completely unreasonable! We already gave up 3 stylings altogether just to take some shots together, which means they don't need to waste energy to fix our hair and make up 3 times  in exchange and still she said that???

Our moods were completely destroyed already and we didn't feel like taking pictures there already. Photoshoot is supposed to be fun, how can we enjoy ourselves in such an awful place? So we requested them to give us our money back because we totally disliked that place. It was just too money-orientated!

The girl started to feel nervous after we said that because the money she so pointedly wanted was slipping away. So she frowned so hard and discussed with her fellow employees. Finally they came up with a "difficult solution" which was to let us have our way. And she kept on emphasizing that it's a huge favour they did for us because they didn't want us to waste the time coming all the way here. Well hello, thank you. LOL. How nice of you.

So the 2 of us were gloomily seated in front of our make-up mirrors. I said 2 of us because it appeared like Ai Ai had the most patience towards all these kinda shits people did. Hahaha. Xing Xing and I were already totally pissed but Ai Ai was still at peace and smiling. She just said, "Well it's okay with me!" LOL! Both of us stared at her in disbelief because we couldn't believe how anyone can have such good temper hahahahahhaa!!!

Yeah, so the 2 of the grumpy girls was fuming when the make-up artists worked on our faces. Then my make-up artist started to say, "You sure you don't want fake lashes? Your eyes will look small in pictures and it won't look nice."

I know it's some kind of tactic they use on all the customers there so they'll be affected and purchase that bloody expensive fake lashes from them. And I was so mad I just said, "No I don't want."

Then the make-up artist started to mumble stuff like, "Well okay fine it's up to you but oh god, how I wish I could give you a pair for free! You really do need a pair." She went on and on about that LOL.

So you could say she had brainwashed me and when I looked into the mirror, I suddenly felt like my eyes looked so ultra small and bloated and ugly LOL.

Xing Xing was sitting right on the other side of my mirror, I couldn't see her face. I raised my voice and asked, "Darling, are you taking the fake lashes?"

Xing Xing: "No, I'm not. It's not about the money, it's just that I don't want to give them this extra RMB 20."

Me: "Okay. You're right. Me too."

*after 10 seconds of silence and staring at myself in the mirror*

Me: "Darling? I think I'm gonna take a pair of fake lashes, because my eyes are small."

Xing Xing:*silence for 2 seconds* "Oh. Okay! Yeah! Of course!"

*I put on a pair of fake lashes, and the make-up artist started to mumble about how adding the 2nd pair of fake lashes would be perfect*

Me: "Uhm... Darling? I think... I'm going to take the 2nd pair because 1 pair is not enough."

Xing Xing: *silence for another 2 seconds* "Yeah! Go ahead! You'll look nice!"

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL. So that was how I got brainwashed into buying 2 useless pair of fake lashes. Xing Xing and I were laughing like mad when we recalled that ridiculous conversation we had, especially when we couldn't see each others' face and all we heard was our voices floating out from the back of the mirror. Hahahahahaha!!!! So much for persevering for justice LOL.

Our moods had came back when the photoshoot started! I chose this beautiful black gown because I love the bling details at the front and the torn-look of the lower part of it. :) Imperfection is perfection. Haha. Weird logic that works on me. :)

Didn't wear any jewellery or head piece because I prefer it simple.

I think I looked kinda fat in this picture because the way my arm that was pressed looked fat. T_T

The 2nd look was...... in my opinion, totally hilarious.
I was wearing the very hawaii-feel dress that I got from Forever 21 a few days ago.
And the make-up artist insisted me to put this big sunflower thingy in my hair.
My first impression when I looked at myself in the mirror is this is supposed to be something I wear to the beach.

The thing is they don't have the right background to match this look.
Well, they have a beach background but it looks so ridiculously fake I secretly LMAO. So in the end I settled for this background.

Some friends commented that I look like a lost Hawaiian girl in some city in France. Hahahahaha!

Show you guys 2 pictures to get some good laugh. I even forgot to take off my hair-band from my wrist. =.='''

The photographer noticed that stupid hair-band so I got rid of it. LOL.

The 3rd look was some totally horrible look of Korean traditional costume. It was too stupid and too ridiculous I decided not to put any pictures here. I think it is the hairstyle problem. Totally NOT KOREAN-ish at all. And the background doesn't match. =.=

The last look for the sister shots! :)
Love this short stripey top from Forever 21. It has a sexy back!

I personally love our group pictures best, because we interacted with each other so naturally the pictures turn out to look really great! Hahaha!

Love this shot! :DDDDDD
Xing Xing's sister saw our sister shots and commented that the pictures looked like some posters for some US television series telling the story of 3 teenage girls. LOL.

I'm the sporty tall girl, and Xing Xing is like the girl from a rich family (in this case I really think she looks like Blair from Gossip Girl hahahaha!) and Ai Ai is the sweet innocent girl! :D

They are gossiping about me! :'(

*sexy face* Hahaha!

All the poses are totally random and we came up with all sort of ideas LOL!

Despite all those stupid things that happened, we had so much fun together! :DDDD

XOXO,
You know you love me,
Gossip Girl. :D

Spring!

Hello peepo! I'm back! Feeling like my old self again after lying in bed for 2 days straight. Have to thank Telmuun for his special "medical treatment" LOL. I was still coughing and having muscle pains and feeling dizzy 2 days ago, and he asked me to try out this really interesting method.

Ps: you guys can try too if you get sick next time, it sort of helps in clearing your respiratory system.

First I have to cover myself in my blanket. Not an inch of flesh out of the blanket so all the heat will be trapped inside.

WARNING: This is going to feel like hell.

Then Telmuun passed me a pot of extremely hot boiled water, what I need to do is to put my face on the water and breathe. Jesus it was HOT. And all the heat is trapped inside the blanket can you imagine??? I'll have to breathe in slowly and let the hot air enter my lungs. In less than a minute my face already wet from the steam. I couldn't open my eyes because of all the water on my face and the heat and at the same time I have to control my breath.

I kept asking Telmuun, "Is it done??? How many minutes left?" I'm supposed to do that for 15 minutes, and each minute passes so slowly I feel like I'm going to die suffocating in the heat lol. My lungs feel really hot it's crazy.

Finally 15 minutes passed and he passed me a face towel to wipe off all the water on my face. And I popped my head out of the blanket and felt like I was in heaven. LOLLLL. The difference of hell and heaven is the degree of freshness in air. Now I understand. XDDDD

Anyway, despite how weird this treatment might sound, it actually helps!!! I felt so much fresher waking up the next morning and I stopped coughing that much! There's still some phlegm in my throat but I don't cough like a dying person anymore! :DDDDDD So a huge thank you to Telmuun! :DDDDDDDDD

Anyway I'm still on the mission of blogging all my pictures, which now seem kind of impossible because I have new pictures almost like everyday! Hahahahhaa!

Here are some pictures from a gig that goes back like a week ago! :)
Let's start with my big face LOL.

It was at Jia Ding. Yes that stupid faraway place again (1 and a half hour by metro) . But this time the pay is good. :) So yeah it's fine. :)

This time we get to go to this awesome villa place called Neverland. These villas are for sale and we'll have to play in one of the sample villa while the buyers come over to survey.

Everything inside is luxurious and beautiful. Though I think I wouldn't want my house to look like this in the future. I mean the interior, outside's view is gorgeous though.

I don't know why I just think the interior feels like some kind of president's room? Or some hotel. :( Not homey enough for me. :(

Show you the outside view! I love all the trees and flowers!!! :) I think they did a really good job in greenify the place. Is there the word greenify? LOL.

The weather that day was awesome! Sunny and breezy! I think this flower is Sakura right?

Btw it's still very cold like 10 to 12 degree celsius. I prefer it to be slightly warmer like around 18 to 20 degree! :)

With Kiki, the cellist! :)

There's a small pond outside too! If you are wondering, yes, there're fishes inside. :))))

With Qiu Rong! :) My new friend! Her dad's a photographer and she sorta inherited the photography skill too! :) She showed me some pictures that she took using her Iphone 5, and they turned out looking like they were taken by DSLR camera! So crazy!!! :)

It feels good to be healthy again! :DDDD

Horrible Experience In China's Hospital.

I know there might be some really good hospital in China, but this hospital I've been to is probably the worst ever. :(

I've been coughing for almost 2 weeks now, there is this endless thick yellowish phlegm in my throat that makes me cough like some almost-dying person. I tried to cough it out but my throat is like a phlegm-manufacturing factory it's always there no matter how many times I tried to get it out.

Anyway I didn't bother about it because other than coughing I felt totally fine... until 2 days ago. I think I must have catch a cold because I suddenly feel dizzy and uncomfortable, and I can't breathe properly. And the phlegm in my throat seems to mutate into some horrible virus. I coughed like crazy and it has this really sticky feeling in my throat it's scary. No matter how much I cough it doesn't seem to get out and when it does it's like white colour wth. O.O

So I started to think whether I have got the bird flu (H7N9). T___T
Fear is the worst thing, because your mind controls your body. I was so scared I think like I'm going to die going to die going to die, and I feel worse than ever.

The next day I went to the hospital nearby to get some medicine. I mean, hospital is like the most trustworthy place you go to when you're sick right? BUT THIS HOSPITAL IS WORSE THAN THE CLINICS IN MALAYSIA. Wait till I tell you about it.

I went to the hospital with Hirai, and when it was my turn, I told the doctor how I was feeling and all the symptoms I had: thick phlegm in my throat, muscle pain everywhere, severe headache and dizziness. The doctor wasn't really paying any attention when I was talking, he was like fiddling with his medical tool.

And after I finished talking, he took out the small torch-light thing that was used to look into someone's throat. So I opened my mouth and was going to say "AAAHHH" (I mean you have to say AHHHH when the doctor checks your throat or else he couldn't check what's going on deep inside your throat right?) and he barely even looked inside. He already switched off the torchlight before I had the chance to say AHHH.

I was like, "Eh????? That's it???"

Then he took out the stethoscope and only 意思意思 pressed on my chest area. The thing is I'm wearing pretty thick clothes so I don't think he could hear anything pressing on thick layer of clothes. And he just press for like 2 seconds. O.O

Hello? The doctors in Malaysian clinics more professional than him ok?????

Then he said, "Okay I'll give you some medicines and you try to eat and see how yeah."

WAAAA TRY TO EAT AND SEE HOW. TOTALLY DOESN'T SOUND CONVINCING MAN.

I was too dizzy to argue with him so I stared at the computer screen when he typed in the medicines' names. Then my eyes got bigger and bigger because HELL THE MEDICINE COSTED LIKE RMB 200 plus altogether!!!!!!

So I immediately asked, "Doctor, I thought mine is just some common flu? Why the medicine needs to buy until RMB 200 plus????"

He was like shocked a lil bit and he said, "Uhm... okay then, I'll give you lesser medicines."
And he cancelled one medicine out and the total was like RMB 159.90.

Hirai stood beside me, and he spoke to me in English that he didn't trust the doctor and asked me not to pay for it. I knew he was right too, but I was really scared that my illness would continue or worsen and I dunno what else I could do besides going to the hospital. So in the end I paid for the meds and left.

After I had lunch, I took out the meds and started to eat it. Then I decided to check what medicines he gave me. The names of the medicines are very complicated. Here's a picture of the 3 meds he gave me.

I was so shocked when I saw 2 of the meds are for asthma patient!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DON'T HAVE ASTHMA!!!!!!!!!
Imagine if I didn't read it and just eat the medicine straightaway, what will happen to me. OMG. :(

SCARY MAX!!!!!!
The only correct medicine he gave me is the one for treating thick phlegm in my throat and that medicine is just like RMB 29. So I wasted RMB 130 buying asthma medicines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear if I'm not feeling so dizzy and tired I would have gone to the hospital and find that doctor and report him.

What if I have side effects after eating all those medicines!!!!!!!!!

He didn't give me any fever meds and yesterday I spent the whole day lying on my bed, feeling totally feverish and my whole body was burning. Luckily my roommate, Tuya, gave me a really good fever med and the fever came down! Thank you darling! And a big thank you to Xing Xing too because she helped me to order the awesome dinner from Urban Soup Kitchen. :) Feeling much better today.

So yeah, that's the horrible experience at China's hospital yesterday. :(
I told my Chinese friend about it, and she told me that usually they wouldn't go to hospital when they're sick, because China's doctors is famous for their irresponsibility. Their priority is not to cure patients, but to issue as many medicines to you as possible so they can get commission from selling the medicines!!!!

Usually when they're sick, they prefer to go to pharmacy to get some medicines and eat themselves rather than going to hospital because it's just not trustworthy at all!!!!!

I think now it is the best season for China hospital's doctors to earn money because H7N9 is getting pretty serious here. :(
I really hate irresponsible doctors!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, some updates about H7N9. Now we can't eat anything related to chickens/birds/ducks and no EGGS. T_____T

Some people say it's not safe to eat pork/beef/mutton too. So it pretty much means all there is left to eat is veges. T_______T

If you ask me how is the H7N9 situation in Shanghai right now. Is it very serious?

I can only tell you, I don't know.

Because virus is something you can't see. And the worst enemy is something that you can't see it coming. You don't know where it is hiding and how it is going to spread. Sometimes people will forget that it even existed and they neglect it totally. :(

Bought this healthy respirator from the pharmacy. Think it might be useful somehow.

It has the carbon filter inside. Smells kinda funny. :(

The H7N9 prevention notice at the ground floor of our dorm, issued by the International Students' Office.

Anyone who's going to visit China these coming few months, read this notice!

I'm going to rest as much as possible right now and gain back my health. It sucks to be sick. :(

Just summer up myself.

It always feels good to update my blog! Haha! Today I'll share some silly OOTD pictures here.

Well, not exactly OOTD since I can't wear them out right now. (Unless I want to catch a cold and die) but I'm just trying to match my accessories and see how it'll look. LOL.

I still think I love summer outfits more! I hate wearing too many layers, it's just too troublesome. I always rushed to classes and realized I forgot to wear my coat/scarf after I locked my room. =.= Guess I'm born a beach girl. Hahaha.

Wearing the sweet green dress from Bershka. :) It is my friend's. Looks so cute but too short for me. T_____T
Matching it with the turquoise triangle necklace. :)

And a very colourful bracelet also from online shop. Hahaha!

2nd look, I'm trying out my new H&M aztec print shorts.
Really love the colour and cut! :)

Drop-shoulder top, remember this? Haha. I had a black one that I wore like a lot of times already? Now I got the white colour because it's like mad cheap but such good quality! :DDDD

Taobao's the best. LOLLLL.

Btw I almost NEVER did my hair like this: putting up my fringe.
Coz I have imbalanced eyes. T___T One big one small, usually you can see me trying to hide the smaller eye with my long fringe hahahahahahhaa!

*now you know my secret* T______T

Sometimes fringe can get really annoying because it always gets into my way. =.='''

Going to leave my fringe really long and see what happens. TROLOLOL. Don't want short fringe already. Look like a kid. hahaha.

Oh yeah I'm wearing the black-golden triangle necklace for this outfit. :)

Till then, ciao!
