Happy Easter!

Oh hey! Today I've actually decided to do an up-to-date post. My posts are always overdued. LOL. So now I'm going to do an Easter post on Easter Day! :))))))

Yesterday I posted this on my FB.

And TADAA!!!! Here are the eggs I coloured! Pretty not???
I'm so proud of myself, can't believe I actually did this on the first time!

T______T Okay lah, I should stop bragging.
Actually I did nothing except playing egg-fighting and shamelessly eating bread with cheese.
The pretty girl below did all the hard work. LOL LOL.
Pity her to have me as her spoilt friend hahaha!!!

So here I present you, our egg-colouring teacher of the day, the beautiful Astghik! Hahahaha!

Or you can just call her Xing Xing la since her name quite hard to pronounce. Astghik means star, so her Chinese name is Xing Xing. Haha!

First, of course, you needs some eggs to start with.

Boil the eggs for 10 minutes so it'll be safely edible. Not that I don't trust China's eggs LOL.

The colouring powder all the way from Armenia. Hahaha. Look pretty gross because some of the contents came out and it becomes pretty sticky.

Put the powder in some glass container (in this case, I only have my glasses so...) and put hot water in it. Mix evenly and you can put the eggs inside! :)

Red and yellow!

At the mean time, we enjoyed the Armenian's Telak Cheese with bread. :)
I commented that it looks like noodles, and Xing Xing's friends said it is Cheese Noodle from Armenia.
Not sure if they're just pranking me because they're too good at joking! LOL. Now I can't differentiate which one is joke and which is the truth. T____T

Hardworking girl LOL. If you notice, now we have green colour in the basin.

I'm eating shamelessly at the same time, so show you a picture of what I ate. Hahahaha.
I put some cheese noodle to go with my bread. It is really yum! :) Tasted kinda salty. ;))

The bread that Xing Xing's Armenian friend (sorry I don't know his name T____T) said that he made. LOL. He said his major is baking bread and he already have lots of branches in Shanghai and Armenia, the name of the shop is Su She Bakery. (宿舍面包店)

Yeah, right dude, you win. *roll eyes* LOL.

The cheese noodle! :DDDD

And then we have blue colour as well!!!!
This colour is hypnotic.

Took out the eggs after 15 minutes!

Some pictures while waiting for the eggs to dry themselves.
On the right is our dormitory's aunt! :DDDD We love her! She's always so nice!

Group pic! Took this using the voice control. Say "Capture!" Hahaha!
The 2 dudes at the back are Xing Xing's Armenian friends! :)
On the left is the one major in baking bread. Yoohoo! Hahaha!
And on the right is Gevorg, he went to the Jennifer Lopez's concert with us last time!

Cleaning up. Still thinking this is really edible??? O.O LOL.

Done! Hahahaha!!!!

Egg fighting starts!
The rule is one people gets to hit the other egg, the egg which cracks is considered lost. And the loser will have to give the egg to the winner. Hahaha.

I lost. T_____T K.O.
Green team wins.

We ate the eggs right after! Actually should eat the eggs on Easter morning, but since Xing Xing's friends are not coming tomorrow so we eat the eggs immediately. Haha.

Can eat like this with the bread! Sprinkle some salt on top. :)

With the new friend in our dorm! Oliver from Germany! :)
He's super friendly!

That was my first time celebrating Easter, and it was so fun! :DDDDD
Thank you darling Xing Xing for inviting me! :DDDDDD Awesome max, next year let's do it again! And next year I want to draw stuff on the eggs and paint them! ;DDD

Btw I bought some accessories from Taobao! :) And they have just arrived!

Let's show you guys! :)
This car-ear ring is not what I bought, it's a gift sent by the shop. Haha. Quite cute!

Tadaa! The necklaces I bought! Each only RM 3!
Mad cheap can???
And the quality is sooooo good!
This kinda necklace if you buy in Forever 21/H&M at least need RM 20 above kay? LOL.

So happy! Going to get more next time! :)

Right I need to get some lunch now. :)))
Ciao bellas!

Black & White.

Hey people! How was your day?
Mine was...... bad but interesting. :) LOL.
Will tell you guys about it. Read on. :)

I considered myself a very mild person, which means I am not easily offended. Usually when something bad happened, or when I meet someone awfully mean, all I need is to switch my thinking mode and the anger will vanish.

For example, if a woman is yelling vulgar words at me because I didn't buy her stuff after asking for the price. (That happens quite often in China just in case you don't know) I'll try to think that she's having a bad day or maybe she's really unhappy with her current life she needs to vent her anger somewhere. Then I'll not be angry with her anymore.

Some of my friends say I seem like I'm happy all the time. They can never imagine me being angry, because even if I'm angry sometimes, I just tell them animatedly about the matter and they would laughed because when I told them "I'M SO ANGRY YOU KNOW!" my expression was more like exasperated rather than being angry. LOL. Can't help myself, I just can't hold grudges for long. I'll forget the bad feelings right after I wake up the next morning.

I guess being forgetful is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing is of course good for myself because I get to be happy easily. Bad thing is people tends to take you for granted because no matter how bad they treat you, they know you won't stay angry with them for long. That's exactly like that for me.

There was this senior that is super duper horrible. She is the one giving us all the gigs. There's a price for the gigs depends on how long we play and how far is the place. It's just like a set market price, but this senior, this horrible person, she can actually unshamefully cheat us for so many times! For example last time, she just called me and said, "There's a gig for 1 hour, it's RMB XXX, can you go?" That was the normal price for gigs in city area, so I asked where is that place and she said, "Er... Jia Ding." I didn't know where that place is, I thought it's some kind of hotel's name, so I said okay.

And a day before that gig, she texted me the address and I searched it up online and I was SHOCKED. Damn! it's like 1 hour and a half away from the city okay?!?!! It's almost at the border of Shanghai province already!!!!!!! Wth?! But I couldn't find anyone to replace me already because 1st, nobody will be willing to go so far for this little money. So you can say I'm just trying to be responsible, and I went. Carrying so many heavy stuff and took the metro like almost 20 stations, interchanges the metro for 3 times summore.

When I got there, it's actually a VERY GRAND opening of some fashion brand. Then that stupid senior suddenly told me that the organiser requested us to play some electric violin piece afterwards too! She didn't told me that before! Electric violin supposed to have even higher payment you see! She kept apologising and saying that the organiser just told her on the spot, blablabla. The thing is, it's obviously fake because she already brought the short red dress for the electric violin along. LOL. She really think I'm stupid or what?

Anyway, my mild temper is still switched on so I just follow what she said, because I'm not someone to pick a fight. I don't like to pick a fight. I'm not good at scolding people, so I kept quiet.

After everything was done, she asked me to wait for her at the entrance, and she went to get the payment from the manager. And guess what? I heard the manager told his friend to give her RMB XXXX. I'm supposed to get TRIPLE times than the payment she told me, but she cheated me and got all the 90% for herself, and only 10% for me. Geng or not??????

When she turned around, she saw me looking at her. She knew that I knew, but she acted like nothing happened. And I was really angry inside, feeling totally cheated, but I still say nothing. I really should give her a piece of my mind, but I kept quiet.

That happened like last year, which I got pretty mad I didn't agree to go to her gigs for a period of time. Anyway, like I said before, gigs are the main source of income for me to survive here, so I will still have to go to her gigs from time to time.

Btw, now back to why I'm suddenly so angry right now. 3 days ago, she told me there's this gig, which is a 长活(which means the long-term gig, so the payment will be lesser but if you considered the long run, it's actually a good pay), we have to play 3 hours each day and the gig is for 3 days straight. The payment is not really much, but it is considered decent for 长活 so we agreed.

However when we got there. It's some really fancy restaurant in Shangrila Hotel!!! Super grand one kay? It's some wine-tasting ceremony and some princesses from Italy are invited too. Does that sound like long-term gig to you? No, right???

And the next next day, which is the last day of the supposedly-long-term gig, we went to a really far place and it was some 20th anniversary of some huge company. How to explain that as long-term gig you tell me????? Now the 3 of us (cellist, violist and me) were already really really mad. Obviously we were fooled. You see, it's not the problem of money, it's that she could actually be so thick-skinned to lie to us, spinning this wonderful story about some long-term-gig and let us come so far and perform for so long, and she got all our money without doing anything!

The cellist was the first one to got mad. She straightaway confronted the senior and said, "Which part of this looks like a long-term gig? Which part?"
And that senior didn't expect us to actually stood up for ourselves so she got stunned for several seconds and she found some pretext and went to the washroom, probably think about how to deal with us.

At the mean time, we were fuming in one of the company's meeting room, and the manager of that event was there too. So the cellist asked him straightaway, "Is the gig today a long-term one???" The manager looked dubious and said, "Urm.. no."

"What about the gig in Shangrila Hotel? Is that long-term as well?" "That is definitely not long-term" He said.

So the cellist told him how the senior cheated us and gave us super low price to come to this event. The manager's expression was totally epic. He was so surprised he got speechless. "Wow, that's pretty... unbelievable."

When that senior finally came back from the washroom, she didn't know that the manager already knew. And she was still faking and explaining to us that maybe she got the wrong info, but she was positive it is supposed to be a long-term-gig. Blablabla. And she put on those perfectly-trained pitiful sincere face wth. =.='''

We all already knew the truth so we didn't talk to her for the rest of the day. And in the end she still gave us the same price. That was that.

Yesterday was the last straw because she called me to go to another gig on Saturday(which is today). She probably think I don't know a lot of places' name. So she tried to do the same old tactic like the last time Jia Ding's one. She said, "There's a gig RMB XXX for one hour, can you go?"

I asked her where is it, and she said it's not too far, at Chuan Sha. HELLO WTH, CHUAN SHA IS ALMOST NEAR PUDONG AIRPORT ALREADY CAN??? Another 1 hour and a half journey. I was so angry I practically yelled at her, 川沙这么远我不去! 都快要到浦东机场了! She also knows this price is incredibly crazy for such a far gig, so she was like faking again, and explaining that this gig is her friend's friend's wedding... blablabla.. so that's why it's cheaper, blablabla.

I just said I DON'T WANT TO GO DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? And she's all like "Then can you find someone to replace you?" I just said, "NO, I DON'T THINK MY FRIENDS WILL BE WILLING TO GO TOO." She was faking nice and hung up and texted me afterwards saying stupid stuff like, "Darling, I'll try my best to find someone to go, so let's work hard to find someone ok? We have to find someone!"

I saw the text and was like, "What WE? You can go find someone YOURSELF!" And I contentedly ate my dinner. After like 5 minutes, she called me again and said she contacted the manager of the event and the manager said that you don't have to go there so early blablabla. WTH?!?! Did she not understand what I said? I said it's too far I don't want to go! She's still trying to persuade me to go by arriving LATER?????

I was totally pissed, so I actually have the courage to say stuff that I don't used to say normally. I gave her a piece of my mind. LOL.
I said, "Excuse me. Are you kidding me? You yourself should know, this kinda price is too little for some gigs so far. I don't want to go, and never ever try to cheat me to go to a gig so far with so little payment anymore!"

She probably didn't see that coming. LOL. Coz I usually kept quiet and didn't say anything even after many times she cheated me, but this time I've had enough. I don't care if she doesn't ask me to go to gigs in the future already. I just don't care. I don't want to be bullied or cheated or fooled anymore.

You want me to go? Then give me a decent payment. Thank you very much.

She just said sorry sheepishly and I hung up. That feels really good. The feeling of me standing up for myself. LOL. :) I think nobody should take these shits from anyone. Don't let others to bully you, you have to voice out and there's no need to be afraid about it.

Wow, can't believe I actually typed so much! Sorry guys, I just need to rant a bit. Working life can be really stressful when you meet stupid horrible people like that.

Anyway, some pictures of the gigs I went last week! :)
Love this black gown of that day!

This is the gig with the horrible senior, grrrr.

And this is another day, a very nice gig because the senior who asked me to go is a really really nice person. And the payment is great too! :)

In my white dress and with hair up! :)

Well guess that's all for today! Thank you for reading! :) And sorry for ranting so much! :(

Smile, Cheese, Capture & Shoot!

I'm feeling extremely drowsy right now. They say it's the pollen(花粉) floating in the air that causes all these drowsiness, breathing difficulties or skin allergic. LOL. Spring isn't that beautiful as it sounds yeah? :D

I don't have any allergy to pollen but a lot of my friends arround me do, and they are all sneezing and sick all the time. Pity them. :(((

Btw it's now Peach Blossom Festival (桃花节) in Shanghai. And my friend, Martin just called me to join this free trip to the park, where they will get us free lunch and food as long as we girls take pictures with the flowers. And they'll upload the pictures to their website as some commercial tactics.

I have been wanting to go to watch the beautiful blossoms for a long time! I heard Tong Ji University already has lots of sakura blossoms!!!!!! How beautiful! I want to go I want to go!!!!!! Don't really know the difference between peach blossoms and sakura blossoms but I guess both are super beautiful! :DDDD

Will show you guys pictures after I go to the Peach Blossom Festival trip this Saturday! ;) Stay tuned. :D

Okay back to my post. LOL.
I wanna teach you guys how to use your voice to take pictures using Samsung Galaxy SIII! :D
Anyone out there who's using Samsung Galaxy SIII? :DDDD

A big thanks to Zhen Xiang for teaching me this. He actually spends time to figure out all those smartphone's abilities himself. Very pro. :D

This you guys might like this, so hope you enjoy! :D

Follow these steps below:

1) Go to Settings
2) Tap on the "Language and input"
3) Choose "Voice search"
4) Switch on "Voice cmd for apps"
5) Tick on the box for "Camera"

Then Voila! :D Now you can use your voice to take pictures! :DDDD

I tried all the "Smile, Cheese, Capture, Shoot" and I think Capture works best for my phone. You go try and let me know which word works best on your phone yeah! :)

All these pictures in this post is captured using the voice control system! :DDDDD Wheeheeee!

With Mei Ling! She had the new purple cons on and she hated it. I think it is not THAT bad laaaa. Coloured contacts especially these kinda stand-out colours need thicker make-up so it wouldn't look so scary, I guess. :)

Her hair colour has faded to this! :D
Pinkish on the left and bluish on the right. :) Interesting!

I'm still mesmerized with the hair colour even though I can see her everyday. XD

That day was the only day that was hot enough for me to wear like this. Hahaha. But it rained so heavily in the evening and the temperature dropped to winter mode. =.='''

Ignore my fat legs. T______T

Oh yeah did I mention? After you say "Capture!" You have about 1 second to adjust your expression before the phone camera starts to snap. :D So you better think beforehand what expression you want or else you gonna turn out looking funny in the pictures LOL LOL.

Take this using voice control too! XD
Smile right after I talk. LOLLL. Very hard to control the timing but I'm a pro. Cehceh. XD

The flowers on the trees! I stretched my hands as far as they could go and stood on tiptoe. Then I yelled, "CAPTURE!"
This is the picture I got. Hahaha.
A bit out of focus probably because I'm wobbling on tiptoes. T_____T

You guys go try and let me know how it works out for you! :)
It doesn't work at all if your battery is too low! :D

Have fun! Ciao!!!

Random Ranting.

Sorry people, I don't really have much time to blog lately. There are quite a lot of gigs so I have to work almost everyday. :'(

Anyway that's a good thing, because gigs are my main source of income, to keep me surviving every month, providing me financial support to buy food and clothes LOL LOL LOL. :DDD

Yeah, I try my best not to ask my parents to send me money because the living cost in Shanghai is really high and I don't want to burden them.

My gig photos are piling up so high I think I can make 3 posts out of them, hahahaha! I've been to some pretty interesting weddings/events, can't wait to tell you guys about it!!! :DDDDD

I want to complain!!!!!!!
I have accepted an orchestra gig last week and turn out there's another gig crashing, so I found a guy in my class to replace me. I told him the time and place and he said no problem, he'll go. Then on 24th March, which was the day the orchestra gig starting, the orchestra admin called me and asked me why I didn't go. I was like, omg teacher, the guy who replace me didn't go? He said no. So I called the guy and asked him and he said I THOUGHT YOU TOLD ME IT'S MONDAY(25th March)???? O____O What??? And he said he was busy so he couldn't go to the rehearsal that day.

I apologised to the teacher profusedly and the guy promised to go the next day. Guess what? The next day he came to me in the class and said, "Uhm... I think I don't want to go already laaaaa. My friends will go to WuXi for a vacation next week and I want to join them." HELLO WTH?!?!??!! I told him, "哇,你可不可以不要这么不靠谱啊??" He just laughed and he said he was kidding.

Later he called me again and said he REALLY don't want to go already. So I said, "Well you have to find someone to replace you! If you cannot go, then you shouldn't agree to go in the first place!" He was like, "You find lo, you find lo."

WAAAAAAAAAAAAA 要死啊!!! I was so angry I lazy choi him, just hung up after telling him to find himself. After 10 minutes he called me back and said he found someone already, and he gave me the name. I asked him, "Do you have her phone number?" He said, "Nope, I just know her name." TRIPLE WTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I already got totally speechless. Then I said, "You should tell the orchestra admin yourself. Tell him you're not going and who's replacing you."

You know what he said, he said, "I don't want, I scare. You tell lo. You're so cute the orchestra admin won't get angry with you hahaha."

HAHAHA???? What HAHAHA SUMMORE?!?!?!?! 真的要死啊????!!!! 气死我了!!! Where got such irresponsible people one!!! Simply promise people he'll go, and after that simply said, "ahh I'm not going". That's fine, at least have to take the responsibility of looking for the replacement and calling the orchestra admin himself. Found someone and didn't get the phone number, and don't want to call the admin! O.O

In the end, I gave up and went to search for the replacement girl's phone number and texted the orchestra admin myself. =.='''' I'll never ever find this guy to replace me in any gigs in the future anymore. 太不靠谱了!!!!!!!

Phew okay feel better after ranting. LOL.
*calm mode switched on*

I wanna show you guys this cutie I found when I went shopping with Mei Ling a few days ago! :DDD It is so super duper fluffy!!!! Want to get one in the future hehehe!

Btw my darling neighbour, Sayuri, was going to leave Shanghai so we had farewell dinner and desserts together.
Forgot to take pictures during dinner time so we made it up when we looked for desserts! :D

Tried out this little bar on Yong Kang Road.
The desserts looked nice but didn't taste that good. :(

Here's the Chocolate cake! I ordered chocolate brownie and Sayuri ordered this, but when it came I thought this one was mine. So.....

I very unashamedly took tons of pictures with it.

That is still not the worst part.

I even....

Ended up licking the cherry after this pose. LOL. Then my brownie came and I was like What? That one is mine? Not this one???

But the damage is done. Sorry Sayuri.
In the end we exchanged cherries. Hahahahahaha!

Ellen's cheesecake with a very scary-looking GREEN cherry on top.
Btw I ate my red cherry and it tasted like medicine. Ugh.
So I bet this green one is even worse.
Ellen decided not to try and leave that as a mystery.

My pretty roomie, Tuya! She's busy instagraming our pictures! hahaha!

Group shot thanks to the owner! Btw it was kinda annoying because there are some security-guard uncle kept guarding beside us throughout the dessert-time as if we were some criminals.

It's because Yong Kang Road used to be really boisterous and noisy at night because there are a lot of bars there. So the people living on the 2nd floor couldn't sleep at night. They complained to the police probably and hence the guards standing guard and would go hush anyone who talks too loud.

Bummer. :( Anyway we didn't make much noise except chatting. Hahaha :)))))

So when we went home, the uncle even waved to us and said goodbye. :DDDD

Right, have to go to the morning ear-training class now. Ciao babehs. :D
