Violin Postcards (Liaw Wooi Lun Photography)

Hello peepo!!! I've finally sorted out both the photoshoot and behind-the-scene pictures! :))) Very excited to share with you guys the process of this awesome photoshoot! :)

First of all I want to thank my beautiful bestie, Ying for tagging along and helping me a lot. The place of shooting is actually right by the side of the road. And it is a very narrow, highspeed road too so Wooi Lun had to drive further to find a place to park his car and we walked all the way to the shooting place.

It feels kinda scary to walk there and we tried our best to stay at the very side of the road as the cars wheezed by, some even honked at us. Probably because they thought it was dangerous for us to be walking on the road. There is just a pretty high risk of vehicles hitting us!

So yeah we moved down to the lower part, and thank you Ying for taking all these behind-the-scene pictures! She brought her awesome semipro. :))

There you can see my super awesome photographer friend is doing his thang. LOL.

To be honest, the place of shooting looks great from afar but not so when we got close. The land part is something like....

This. So it's kinda like soft and mushy and the dirt will get inside your shoes. That's not the worst part! The ground is crawling with red ants, and we're not talking about SMALL red ants, we're talking about the real deal, the GIANT ones.

Omg I get headaches thinking about them.

Actually Ying didn't take any close-up pictures of the ants, coz she hates them. LOL.
But I just have to show you guys to let you understand the horrifying sensation we experienced. Coz whenever I'm trying to hold on to a branch to start posing for pictures, I see red ant army like THIS on the leaves of the tree OMFG!!

And they're everywhere, on the ground on the branches on the leaves. EVERYWHERE! HUGE ONES.

Anyway, that doesn't stop us from taking pictures. You know, we are professionals. *hahahahha slap myself*

Again, you don't really need a perfect background, if you know how to find the right angle. You will understand when you see the end-result pictures later!

Wooi Lun instructing me which way to turn and stuff. :)

We don't usually stay in a very close quarter. Sometimes, Wooi Lun will get out his ultimate gear, his lens, and our distance will be like super far apart, but he can still get ultra clear shot of me. LOL.

In the end we really couldn't stand the horrible environment anymore so we changed to another location! We went to an abandoned train track. It has this really nice broken-down feel to it.

This place is great because there's no more red ants! When red ants no more exist, we have cow dungs instead. HAHAHAHHAA! So we were shooting while inhaling the awesome scent of cow dung. It is kinda nice in a special way. LOL.

Walking on the tracks!

Right, enough of the behind-the-scene shots, now I'll show you guys the professional the-end result! :))) I love them very much, hope you do too! :))))

Actually the idea at first is that we are going to give a storyline to the photoshoot. I will put my violin somewhere and then I will go around searching for it.

So here's my searching face.

And in the end it just somehow turned into posing hahahahaha wtf.

Then I found my violin (yay!) so I started playing.

Change of place! Love the half-body shot!

Really hope I'm not sitting on any cow dung hahahahah!

And I must say I am MADLY in love with this sunset shadow shot! The sun and the sky is just amazingly gorgeous.

Another of my fav no-face shot. :)

I'm not really convinced that there're REALLY no trains coming. LOL. So I kept a lookout all the time.

And the really sweet part is a bunch of the kids staying at the area saw us shooting and came over curiously. :) In the end we sort of became good friends. I played some songs for them, and we took a group pictures together! :)

They are all extremely polite and shy too, super adorable! :)))) One even asked for my phone number hahahaha and when I said "no, sorry", he just turned and ran away. LOL. Sorry!!!! Just think that there's no use giving phone number anyway since I'm going back to Shanghai soon. Hahahaha.

So yeah, that's the really fun photoshoot I had and there's one more that I want to update but I will just wait until I got the pictures from Wooi Lun! :)

Finally, I must say a huge thank you to my photographer friend, Wooi Lun for inviting me and taking all these awesome shots! He is the most tiring person actually, because he needs to drive us around and always be the one going first to check out the place, and I saw ants crawling up his head too omg. LOL. But he never complain, and all he wants is just to take good pictures!

So any of you out there who are impressed by his pictures and would like to get his photography service, please do not hesitate to contact him at his FB to tell him about what you need and also for price inquiries: LIAW WOOI LUN

Till then! Xoxo!

The Start of the Food Trip.

Finally found the courage to go through the pictures! VERY LAZY TO DO SO. Lol. The only bad thing about going on a 5-days-trip, is that you get too much pictures in your computer you're afraid to sort it out. Hahahahaa!

Anyway I'm working on it! So let's start with the first day when I reached KL! :)))))

My bestie, Yue picked me up at the bus station and dropped me off at the lrt. So I'm like trying to figure out my way to get to KL Sentral. Btw, I'm really a noobie when it comes to KL. Coz the only thing I know about KL is the KLCC which I spent most of my time at during my MPYO period.

I was whatsapp-ing with my baby Sera all the time, and she gave me a heads-up not to ask direction from any strangers and only the subway staff! :) Good tips for a lone girl going around on her own. Better be careful!

Met up with my uncle and my aunt! Didn't see them for like a year or so! I used to stay over at their house when I came to KL last time for MPYO camp. They're always really good to me and I love them very much!

Uncle brought me to this place where they served really good fish and frog! LOL. My aunt doesn't eat frog because of her Guan Yin religion and my uncle was like "you missed out the best thing". Hahahaha.

I enjoy eating frogs because their meat is like really chewy and nice, but I don't think I'll eat them too often, because I once read in some wechat news that a family contracted some worm diseases in their bodies because they eat too much frogs. They eat them on weekly or even daily basis if I'm not mistaken. So again, they probably didn't cook it the right way. You have to make sure it is thoroughly cooked. Not just fried quickly in the hot oil and the meat inside might still be raw. Trust me, you don't want that.

After the late dinner/supper, it was already almost 11pm! So my uncle drove me to Yue's house in Ampang. He got to the wrong place at first and I felt really really sorry for troubling him because his place is reallyyyy far from Sin yue's place, and he drove like at least 45 mins to 1 hour before getting there. And when he got home it was already 1am. :(((( And he had work the next day.

Sorry uncle for so much trouble. :'(

And I'm really grateful to my Yue for letting me to stay over in her condo! She shares it with another 3 really  nice girls. And again I'm very sorry because she let me sleep on her bed while she has to sleep in the sleeping bag! T______T Thank you so much!!!!!! That sleeping bag doesn't look comfortable at all but she reassures me that it is. :(

We woke up pretty early the next morning to catch the ETS train to Kampar! We're going to attend bestie Ying's convocation! Woooohooooo!

Breakfast at the KL Sentral station. :) This whole set is like RM 6 I think. Not bad. :)

The 2 puffy-eyed.

Once we got there, Maple and her sis came to pick us up. Qian is in the car too! And we immediately went in search for the convo bouquet to give to Ying! :) Got the pink roses for her because she loves pink!

And Yue's idea to give this hugeee bunny because flowers are just too mainstream, and they don't last long. Better give a longer-lasting gift, no? :D

It was super duper hot. Noon time. And that place was packed with people, all attending the convo.

Finally found the graduated girl in the midst of "people mountain people sea" hahahaa. Pictures time!!

The famous BIG TREE in UTAR Kampar campus!

Ying and her coursemates!

I must say UTAR campus is a great place to take pictures! Very beautiful and unique place!

Mr bunny graduated! We're soooo proud of you! *chest-puffed-up*

This girl is holding the biggest sunflower I've ever seen! hahaha no idea if it's fake or real!

In the afternoon we went for lunch at a Pan Mee place, but I was having a bad fever so I pretty much just spent the time lying down on the table and couldn't taste anything when I eat. So no pictures. And when we got to the hotel I sort of passed out on the bed for a few hours after showering. Poor Yue and Ying had to talk in whispers just in case I woke up, and they were completely bored to death. Hahahaha. Sorry girls!

Once I woke up it was already 6pm plus, and Maple came to pick us up to go for a Thai Dinner!!! :))) We went to Restoran Siam Kampar.

The highly recommended Pandan syrup drink! :)) Super duper refreshing! I've never tried something like that before!

The Signature Tofu! :)))) Very crunchy outside and very soft inside!

The Tomyum! Extremely sour and spicy. LOL.

The Chicken Ketupat! Inside are small pieces of fried chicken. :)) Interesting!

Absolutely juicy and yummy mixed vege. Love this.

They even serve free desserts afterwards! This really interesting looking pink coconut milk thing. I' think the pink stuff inside are the pomegranate seeds and the yellow slices are Jackfruit. :) Love this!

After the dinner we got so full we just need to take a walk. So we went back to the campus and took picture with the Grand Hall! It looks amazing at night!

Shadow pics are taken. LOL.

As if we are not already full enough, lol. We went to the next stop, Bean Cafe! :) It is probably one of the most famous cafe in Kampar because even though it is like 11pm plus there are still sooooo many people inside! We had a hard time finding seats.

The Signature Hot Chocolate is amazing. :)))

You know, girls and their vanity. LOL.

Updating my Instagram. LOL.

I'm going to sort out the next post, stay tuned!!! More food trip!!!
